A little bit about me
I live just outside Bath and work across Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas.
As John Betjeman so eloquently put it "Childhood is measured out by sounds and smells and sights, before the dark hour of reason grows." I aim to capture something of this innocence and curiosity. I find working with children hugely rewarding and a great privilege. I am myself a mum of three. We love to travel as a family and recently spent four months in Central America, exploring the oceans, mountains and cloud forests.
I have a strong interest in social issues and my most recent personal work focuses on dementia and Alzheimer's. My mother was diagnosed with mixed vascular dementia and Alzheimer's in July 2014 and the work to date has explored the immense feelings of loss and saddness that I have experienced as I have watched her succumbing to this terrible disease. This work forms part of an on-going body of work.
